Only five people know the whole recipe of 52 natural ingredients and other staff members know individual portions.Since 1824, Angostura aromatic bitters has been made using the same secret recipe. A selection of herbs and spices are weighed and mixed and then transferred to stainless steel baskets that are hoisted on to large percolators where alcohol is introduced.
